Creative + Social Interaction = Existential Satisfaction.

A creative, with little or no social interaction, will eventually wither. They become vulnerable to the slow torture of boredom.

In this context, social interaction must be physical.

Creativity expands when it is witnessed. A creator exists because their work is seen by others. Without an external eye, without observation, the creator is not perceived, and therefore does not fully exist within the spectrum of reality that matters most to them.

Yet the most important thing to be witnessed is the self. This is where physical social interaction becomes essential. Through it, we are inspired not only by what we absorb from others, but also by how we are absorbed—how we are seen.

For the creative mind, physical social interaction is priceless. When present, it can help balance toxic habits and, especially for introverts, quietly strengthen discipline.

When absent, creatives result to inventing substitute social mechanisms or habits which, without real human grounding, can quickly become unhealthy or destructive.

Without this balance, boredom itself becomes distorted i.e experienced as torture rather than as a necessary extension of stillness.

For a healthy creative, boredom should be welcomed, as it can be the space from which good new ideas emerge.

So, as a creative what will you do about your social life, its physical aspect?

How will you become intentional again about witnessing and being witnessed?
