I Always Return Favors - thoughts (11)
No matter how long it takes, no matter how much time passes, if I am aware that a favor has been bestowed on me by someone, anyone, I will return it in abundance beyond what was given.
Maybe this is a flaw, maybe it’s a blessing; I think it’s both. I’m still interrogating where this need to behave this way comes from, not seriously enough yet, but I do think about it from time to time.
What stands out most to me is that I am almost certain I will go to my grave knowing I paid all my debts, all the debts that were humanly possible to pay.
Fortunately or unfortunately, this is one of the greatest philosophies of my life: I always have, and always will, return favors in abundance.
It’s just who I am.
