everyday I wear the color black and I make them wonder who she mourns day & night; month after month; come rain or dryness; this child wears black as though she does not fear its darkness; she forgets its supposed meaning; a color for the night is for hiding
everyday I wear my color black and I make them watch to remind them with or without season; we will not be taught to fear our skin; be made to forget my mother; be seen to resist the heat from wearing happiness as we please
everyday; black on my body resembles a rainbow and their gaze, the clouds.
